  • MR. ED'S BAR AND GRILLE

  • Mr. Ed's is definitely the place to be for lunch, dinner or late night on the island. The happy hour prices are unbeatable - some of the best on Putinbay - as are the bands (always crowd pleasers) and the rooftop bar upstairs (the view of downtown Put in Bay is amazing). The sports bar feel of the afternoon, where you can eat wings and watch the game on one of 15 plasma TVs, segues into an all-night indoor and outdoor party after dark.

  • The tiki bar is the perfect place to get a head start on your island partying. Stop by weekend afternoons to lounge poolside and groove to music played by a live DJ. Contests for cash prizes are a great form of free Put in Bay entertainment. If you're missing spring break in Daytona or Panama City, come to the Tiki Bar, behind the Commodore Hotel in downtown Putinbay.

  • Looking for some good eats while visiting the Lake Erie Islands? Check out Subway for freshly prepared sandwiches and pizzas. Subway at Putinbay is located behind Mr. Ed's Bar and Grille and the Commodore Hotel. Remember, Subway is open late to serve you. And remember, Eat Fresh!
  • THE BOARDWALK

  • A lakefront restaurant serving some of the freshest seafood on the Ohio islands, including its world-famous Lobster Bisque - what's not to love? The menu for this casual family dining restaurant includes choices from a seafood lover's dream, like perch, Alaskan King Crab, and shrimp, as well as burgers, fries, and pizza. A great mix of live bands can also be found at The Boardwalk. Getting to Put-in-Bay by your own personal boat? The Boardwalk has 80 mooring buoys and a harbor taxi for diners.

  • Chicken Patio, located in downtown Putn Bay next to the Roundhouse, has been an island staple since 1952. The chicken is grilled over a 21-ft. open pit and is slathered with Chicken Patio's own famous wine-based barbeque sauce. Dinner also comes with roll, potato salad and sweet corn on the cob. Bon appetit!

  • Enjoy a crisp and refreshing ice cold island beer in one of Frosty's frosted beer mugs! Combine that with a slice of pizza and a game of pool with your pals, and you're in Put-in-Bay heaven. If you're up before the middle of the afternoon the next day, stop by for a delicious breakfast.

  • What do we love most about The Goat? It's hard to pick just one thing; there's the stunning scenery, the homemade soups and sauces, the vibrant-yet-chill atmosphere and some of the friendliest staff on the island. Everybody feels welcomed at The Goat, where you can eat comfort food at its finest.
  • MOSSBACKS ISLAND BAR AND GRILLE

  • Mossbacks is an upscale restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Go for fresh walleye and perch, massive burgers, grilled paninis, steaks, chops or just the great view of DiRivera Park and the public docks on Lake Erie. Kids can choose a meal from a menu just for them. Mossbacks also has a full service bar with domestic and imported beers, scotches, bourbons and wine; or you can go next door to the Fishbowl for a drink.

  • Big Irish sandwiches, soups and specialty desserts aren't the only thing Hooligans Tavern specializes in. With 20 different types of beer and cherry and grape bomb specials, their choice for drinks is quite extensive as well. Do a "Tiny Tini" shot and keep the glass. Check out the vintage video games and 50-inch plasma TV too. Located on Catawba Avenue in downtown Put in Bay, a block from DiRivera Park and Lake Erie.
  • PRESS HOUSE JOE'S BAR

  • With a motto of "Beer is Food. Eat at Joe's," how can you go wrong? Stop by Joe's Bar to get a personal vibe and some local color - you'll swear you're in old Key West. Joe's also serves surprisingly affordable sandwiches and dogs and has a carryout beverage store onsite. Did we mention that Joe himself is a pretty cool guy with lots of good stories?

  • Take in some sun and eat outside on the patio where a band is playing during the day or come back later for drinks and more live entertainment inside. Either way you'll be treated to a great view of downtown Put-in-Bay and Diriviera Park. Little ones along? The Boathouse offers an extensive menu for kids.

  • What could be better than enjoying a classic family favorite while being a stone throw from Lake Erie? Whether you're looking for hot eats or cool treats, DQ's got it. Grab a cone on your way to or from the Jet Express - it's right next to their docks in downtown Putinbay.
  • HEINEMAN'S WINERY

  • Heineman's Winery is the only fully operational winery in Put-in-Bay Ohio. No visit to the bay is complete without stopping by to sample the island's own wine. The winery offers tours and samples of grape juice, wine, cheese and crackers. Adults and kids alike will also have fun venturing down into Crystal Cave, the world's largest geode.
  • MAMA MARIA'S

  • Nothing quite hits the spot after a late night like one of Mama Maria's homemade meatball sandwiches or a slice of gooey cheese pizza. Luckily, Mama Maria knows we crave her cooking at all hours of the day and night, so her place stays open as late as the bars (or later). The patio makes for a great place to take in the view of the harbor and downtown Putinbay at any time.

  • Eating in Pasquale's is eating in one of the buildings with the richest history on South Bass Island! Stop by for breakfast - don't miss the omelet menu - lunch or dinner and enjoy family-friendly dining in a casual atmosphere. Pasquale's is known for its pasta and windows looking out over downtown Put in Bay.
  • PUT-IN-BAY BREWING COMPANY

  • We have one brewery on Put-in-Bay island, and this is it. The Brewing Co. is home to great pizza, late nights (open until 2:30 a.m. daily), live entertainment and at least three different beers brewed right here: Ole Cotton Top Irish Red, Summer Brew and Fat Man's Friend. Kids and adult menu offer wide variety of appetizers, pizzas, wings, sandwiches, ribs, steak, perch, South of the Border menu and Putinbay's only Beer Cheese Soup. Dine in or takeout.
  • VILLAGE BAKERY

  • Even if you promise yourself that you'll only order a wrap or sandwich, you can't leave the Village Bakery without a cupcake, cookie or Danish (our personal favorites are the Palmier cookies that melt in your mouth!). Everything in the bakery is homemade from scratch and served fresh daily. In other words, it's absolutely unbeatable.
  • THE FISH SHAK

  • Within The Boardwalk Restaurant is a great eatery that offers fresh Lake Erie Walleye and Perch sandwiches. Gaze at the waters your meal was caught in as you sit on the spacious outdoor patio. Don't forget to get some signature Jumbo Onion Rings to accompany your order. See you at the Shack!

  • Come have a cheesburger in paradise with phenomenal views of Lake Erie. Within The Boardwalk Restaurant you'll find this eatery in downtown Put-in-Bay. There are other great sandwiches and entrees to suit all tastes. Stop by and enjoy a burger with a view!

  • Continuing the family tradition of great pizza when you need it, Cameo Pizza on has become a staple of downtown Putinbay. Offering free delivery to anywhere on the island, you can enjoy piping hot delicious pizza wherever you may be on PIB. There is also pizza by the slice that is offered after midnight to curb your late night hungers. Stop by on Catawaba Rd. across from the Put-in-Bay Police Department.

  • Situated within the Harbor Village complex, Blu Luna has a variety of options for all tastes. Wood fired pizzas and fabulous martinis are a few examples of the great offerings this eatery offers. Enjoy views of Perry's Monument from their outdoor patio. Stop by and check out one of Put-in-Bay's newest offerings!

  • Another great offering at The Boardwalk Restaurant, Book's Seafood boasts a variety of delicious entrees. King crab, lobster, shrimp, and mussels are a few of the great seafood fare you'll find here. Come and enjoy some of the best views PIB has to offer on the outdoor patios.

  • With gorgeous panaramic views of the Lake Erie Harbor, the Upper Deck Restaurant view is as great as the food. Located on the second level of The Boarwalk Restaurant next the Put in Bay public docks, the fresh seafood options will surely please your palate. Come and catch a great view and meal.
  • DOCKSIDE

  • At the Lime Kiln Dock of the Miller Ferry is a great spot to cool off. Ice cream offerings include milkshakes and cones, and they will surely help you beat the heat on those hot summer days. Also, Dockside offers hotdogs and pizza by the slice from Cameo Pizza of Putinbay. So, whether you are coming or going, they are ready to serve you at the Lime Kiln.
