Spring Fling Customer Appreciation Party
The Spring Fling has become a big Put in Bay Customer Appreciation Weekend. It's our way of saying "Thank You" before the busy summer season starts at Put-in-Bay. The Island Club gets full quickly for the Spring Fling so if we are full and you want a condo, home or hotel room at the Island CLub or Put-in-Bay Condotel call 216-898-9951, and for the Commodore resort call 419-285-3101. Many of the local merchants kick in and give discounts, the Jet Express and the Miller Ferry both give discounts on round trip fare to get to the island, and Island Club Taxis and Put-in-Bay Condo Taxi reduce taxi fares to get to the party. We cook over 1500 hamburgers, 900 hot dogs and drink an entire truckload of keg beer. Mr. Ed's has become the host bar and Friday and Saturday night they are as busy as a summer weekend! The best part of it all is that the party is free if you're a guest of Island Club Rentals, Commodore Resort, Victory Station Hotel, or Put-in-Bay Condos.
Ohio Bike Week - Rally on the Rock
Ohio Bike Week began as the North Coast Thunder Rally & Ohio State H.O.G. Rally in 1999 and 2000. Following the conclusion of the rally in Sandusky, community interest continued and the North Coast Thunder Rally began. In 2006, North Coast Thunder Rally was rebranded as Ohio Bike Week and mass marketed at a wide variety of other biker rallies, motorcycle events & international motorcycle shows around the country. Ohio Bike Week has become a 10-day premier event planned around the dates for the AHDRA Ohio Bike Week Nationals. By combining the rally with racing we provide an experience that appeals to motorcyclists, racing fans, those considering the motorcycle lifestyle as well as the general public. Ohio Bike Week offers many days of great activities, entertainment and rides-Many at NO CHARGE. Rally attendees also receive discount rates at local hotels, free rally guides & offers for a wide variety of discounts from local businesses, restaurants and destinations.
Putinbay.com's Fall Ball Party
The main site of the Fall Ball extravaganza is in the Island Club on the first street to the right after entering off of Put-in-Bay Road. The cul-de-sac of the Island Club is closed down, and a stage, tables and chairs are set out for you to part under the Put-in-Bay sun. Each year we proudly offer some of the finest Put-in-Bay entertainers. The Fall Ball party in 2008 had appearances from Mike "Mad Dog" Adams, Ray Fogg and Bob Gatewood from the Calabash band. For many years, Put-in-Bay's Fall Ball has enjoyed the musical stylings of J.D. Owen and other Island entertainers such as Moving to Boise and the Poptart Monkeys. This two day event starts on Friday with a meet and greet at the Island Club with live Put-in-Bay entertainment and beer. Here you can enjoy an icy cold beer from the draught truck and enjoy some live entertainment al fresco. As dusk nears, the party moves to Mr. Ed's Bar and Grille to continue the night in beautiful downtown Put-in-Bay. On Saturday the fun begins again back at the Island Club on Put-in-Bay Rd., with more great music and beer. We fire up the grills and prepare juicy burgers and hotdogs to enjoy on Saturday while listening to great Put-in-Bay entertainment. There are also firepits set up around the perimeter to provide warmth and ambiance during the Fall Ball party.
Oktoberfest
Put-in-Bay's annual Island Oktoberfest features a large variety of German food, beer, wine and live music. Island restaurants preprare their German specialties, including sauerbraten, spatzel, brats, German potato salad, potato pancakes, apple dumplings, German chocolate cake, weiner schnitzel, red cabbage, sausages and much more. Live entertainment is provided both days by the Maxx Band's "Fingers and Sticks German Band". Mansfield's Leiderkranz Dancers perform on Sunday. Meet local islanders serving up German beer, and wine made at Heineman Winery, established in 1888 on Put-in-Bay. Great festival for the entire family. Enjoy a wide variety of German foods including spatzel, cabbage rolls, brats, sauerbraten, Wiener schnitzel and all your favorite German sweets! This event is held under a large tent located on Toledo Avenue in the downtown Derivera Park. Entry is $4.00 or $6.00 for a 2 day pass. Children 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult.
Halloween Bash at the Bay
For 31 years, thousands of people have gathered in zany costumes for a frightful fun filled weekend at Put-in-Bay. The island bars and restaurants decorate in a haunting theme with costume contests and great live entertainment from the Websters, Mike "Mad Dog" Adams, Wally & the Beaves, Red Ball Jets, Lovesick Radio, The Cover Ups and more! The Jet Express is offering late night ferry service and there are still a few rooms and suites left at the Edgewater Hotel and the Put-in-Bay Resort.
