GETTING HERE - Fly to Put-in-Bay, leaving from Port Clinton via Dary Air or from Sandusky via Griffings, and you are picked up at PutinBay Airport and taken to your lodging where you can check-in and prepare for the trip out on to the ice. Another option to reach Put-in-Bay is the air boats which are enclosed and heated for the short trip across the South Passage Bay where the Miller ferry runs in the summer.
STAYING HERE - Bay Lodging Resort now has 42 hotel units, 6 two bedroom units, and 2 split-level suites. Each 2 bedroom guest suite is spacious, air conditioned and consists of 2 bedrooms, bath, living room, and fully equipped kitchen. Each split-level suite sleeps up to 10 people and is ideal for larger groups. The Bay Lodging Resort is located only 3 blocks from downtown Put in Bay on a quiet, tree-lined lane. They rent golf carts at the front desk to help you get around Put-in-Bay on wheels!
LICENSES - Before you head to Put-In-Bay for your ice fishing adventure, you must purchase an Ohio fishing license. It's super simple now, as you can get it online at http://www.ohiodnr.com/wildlife/dow/regulations/vendor.aspx before your trip.
